An excellent home remedy for heartburn is to suck on a pure lemon at the moment that heartburn arises, because the lemon, despite being acidic, helps to reduce this symptom.
There are other options that can be easily prepared at home and used throughout the day, especially for those who suffer from reflux and often have heartburn attacks.
1. Baking soda
Sodium bicarbonate when diluted in water has an alkaline effect on the digestive tract and as a consequence decreases the acidity of the stomach, inflammation in the esophagus and relieves the discomfort caused by heartburn.
1 teaspoon of baking soda;
100 ml of water.
Mix the ingredients and take this mixture in small sips.
2. Ginger tea
Ginger tea contains antioxidants and other substances that help relieve inflammation of the esophagus, as well as decrease stomach contractions, which ends up reducing the sensation of heartburn.
2 cm of ginger root cut into slices;
2 cups of water.
Place the ginger and water in a pot and bring to a boil. Then turn off the heat and let it rest well covered for 30 minutes. Stir the ginger pieces and drink a glass of tea 20 minutes before each meal.
3. Fennel tea
Fennel tea also contains excellent anti-inflammatory properties that help relieve inflammation of the stomach and a burning sensation in the throat.
