This day encourages nations to unite for peace by shunning hostilities and making this world a better place to live. Interestingly, the theme of this year's World Peace Day is "Shaping Peace Together". The United Nations urges people to join hands together in "spreading compassion, kindness and hope in the face of the pandemic" as the world continues its struggle to defeat COVID-19. And moreover, at a time when social distancing is the "new normal", it is imperative that the world stands united in conquering this disease collectively.
