Signal displaces whatsapp and becomes number 1 in India

India has displaced the whatsapp app from its throne and turned Signal into the number one instant messaging app

Signal is a free, open source, instant messaging and calling application with an emphasis on privacy and security. It can be used to send and receive SMS, MMS and encrypted data messages.

Since February 2020, Signal is the application recommended for instant messaging by the European Commission and its staff

This app has been appearing in India for some time and in the last few hours, it has become so famous that it has displaced the number one instant messaging app in India and the world, whatsapp. Currently it has had so much demand that it has presented some technical problems in its functions

Signal said it is experiencing such an increase in new users that it is witnessing delays in the verification of phone numbers for new accounts.

Signal app is available on Google PlayStore, Apple App Store and for desktop users. It allows users to send encrypted group messages, text, images, audio and video from one end to the other, and make encrypted audio and video calls.

It currently has over 10 million downloads on PlayStore. The application experienced an increase in downloads after WhatsApp's infamous terms of service began appearing in people's notifications. So far, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, US whistleblower Edward Snowden and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey have publicly recommended the use of Signal.

This app has gained such a reputation that we hope it can meet the expectations of multiple users
