How to prepare a nutritious pineapple water for your health

When we eat pineapple, we normally strip the skin, since it is not suitable for consumption, but the shell of the pineapple is where most of its nutrients are actually concentrated

Pineapple water is an excellent option to hydrate yourself. It has a rich, refreshing flavor and a touch of irresistible acidity.

It is a natural refresher, which is why it helps to reduce fluid retention and in turn reduce high blood pressure. It also helps fight urinary infections by increasing urine production and providing a more alkaline pH to the urinary system, which prevents the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms.

Its fiber content gives it a satiating effect, which is ideal if you are trying to lose weight, since it also contains very few calories.

Due to its vitamin C content, it helps neutralize free radicals that cause problems such as premature aging of body cells.



  1. Wash and cut half a pineapple into several pieces without removing the peel.
  2. Put 1L of water in a pot and bring to a boil.
  3. Add the pineapple chunks to the boiling water and lower it over medium heat. After 5 minutes, remove the pot from the heat and let it rest for two hours.
  4. Strain the content and it is ready to drink.
  5. You can add sugar, honey or sweeteners, although it is perfect just like that and it is the best way to take it.
