Step by Step

  1. To start, mix the chickpea flour with the yogurt and lemon juice in a bowl. Let stand for two hours.
  2. In the blender, process the ginger, red pepper, oil, sugar, salt, and turmeric.
  3. Add this puree to the chickpea flour and yogurt mixture. Finally add the baking soda or baking powder.
  4. Pour the mixture into a container that supports cooking in a water bath, previously greased or with baking paper, to prevent the cake from sticking.
  5. Cook in a bain-marie for half an hour, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. When unmolding and serving, decorate with the pepper seeds and fresh chopped parsley
